March has been a month of blessing for our youth group. We have had several newer students visit and become regular parts of the group. I know this is just a sign of the growth that is in store. Our Youth Sunday on March 8th was an incredible time when students had the opportunity to share their gifts and abilities in the worship of our Lord. Also, the faithfulness and commitment of this church for its young people shined through at the Hot Dog fundraiser during Youth Week. Although we had a smaller crowd this year than when we did the dinner last year, we raised more for camp than we had previously. Thank you so much for believing in the need to make our students feel encouraged and essential to this church.
This month has been a long-awaited one for most of our youth because of Spring Break! Even you teachers in the church have been counting down the days until you are free from school at least for a few days. On the Thursday of Spring Break (April 9th), the youth will be going to the World of Coke in downtown Atlanta and also out to the Chick-fil-a Corporate Headquarters for a tour and lunch. We will be meeting here at the church that morning at 10am. The cost for the trip will be $18. See me if you have any questions or to sign up to go with the group.
In order to raise the rest of the money we need to cover the cost of camp, the youth group will be organizing a silent auction on the morning of May 3. After the morning worship service, we will also have a church-wide dinner on the grounds. I am busy collecting items for the auction from different businesses in the area. If you have anything (items or services) that you would be willing to put up for auction for the benefit of the youth group, please let me know as soon as you can.
Living for His glory,
Bro. Ryan
