National Fritters Day

What is a fritter? It is pretty much anything that is coated in batter and then deep fried. It could be served for dessert, as a side dish, and sometimes even as a main course. The two most popular types of fritters in America are apple fritters and corn fritters. They may not look like much, but when you try them, you'll see they're good enough to warrant their own holiday.
